Phase One of our Building project is complete and the shelter for the small dogs is open before the cold of winter.

Forgotten Friends has also raised $12,000 towards a large kennel building with inside/outside runs, to house medium to large dogs. It will be air conditioned by window units and heated by portable heaters as the cost for central air and heat is cost prohibitive. Each dog will have a 5'X10" kennel with a dog door leading to an outside run. The estimate for the completed shelter is over $40,000.

The dogs have been staying in outside pens with igloos and shade over the last few years, but we do not want to continue this another year, as we expect a bad winter. We are cutting way back on the numbers of medium/large dogs we will rescue until we complete the new building.
